The Automotive Components & Accessories Division (ACAD) have a Support Centre based in Clontarf, north Brisbane Queensland which oversees and steers the operations of four divisions currently encompassing eight business units.  It is expected that ACAD will continue to expand organically and through accretive acquisitions.

 

The Position

Reporting to the ACAD CEO, the Executive Commercial & Financial Manager will play an integral role in leading and influencing the commercial and financial teams across the divisions. Working closely with the CEO and Executive General Managers to provide strong both onsite and remote leadership and guidance to help drive improved performance into the businesses.  Supporting the business units (BUs) Commercial & Financial Managers (CFMs) and General Managers (GMs) to develop improved capability, tools, systems, control & reporting mechanisms to enable effective compliance and performance excellence.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in the senior leadership team of ACAD to help drive business performance.
  • Oversee central support centre accounting tasks and key reporting requirements.
  • Improve the wider finance team’s capabilities and implement standardised, tools, processes, controls and reporting mechanisms.
  • Budget/forecasting models, completion and gap reporting processes and consolidation
  • Participate in monthly financial reviews of each business unit.
  • Ensure accuracy and control of divisional cashflow and related reporting.
  • Ensure group reporting deadlines are met.
  • Ensure all regulatory compliance across the divisional operations.
  • Manage ACAD’s part of the bi-annual audits.
  • Play a leading role in key projects within ACAD.

 

Selection Criteria

  • Experience in a similar financial management, leadership and influencing position (essential).
  • An understanding of the automotive industry (highly desirable).
  • Financial reporting and compliance requirements of an ASX listed entity (essential).
  • Self-motivated, high performing individual who is a self-starter (essential).
  • Proven time management skills and experience in an evolving environment (essential).
  • Advanced Excel skills and an excellent understanding of financial reporting systems (essential).
  • Change management in a busy environment involving business acquisitions (highly desirable).
  • Must have an ability to travel interstate, South East Queensland by road and to NZ regularly. A current valid driving licence and ability to fly and drive as the role will require multi-site coverage.

 

Remuneration

A remuneration package commensurate with the responsibility of the position.
